Back from my Midwest tour. Wonderful experiences but there is no place like home. I was in St Louis, MO, Kansas City,Kansas, Champaign, Il, Peoria, IL (yes I played Peoria!),then I was off to Ft Myers, FL and then 3 days of vacation at Disney World! I'll talk about my trip today.

How much money did you make on your first job?

Caller in 1971 - worked at a transport company. $1.75/hr
Caller in 1940's - 50 cents an hour delivering groceries
also picked strawberries for 10 cents a box.

1955 to 57 assistant camp councelor paid the camp $2 to work there.

42 cents and hour in 1943 made venetian blinds

1955 at planters peanuts. 50 cents an hour
