KING KONG
Had a heated discussion with a caller saying that her daughter thought the new King Kong was boring that it took forever until King Kong was seen. I totally disagreee. The old KK was so campy where the new KK really digs into the background of the characters. Much better acting and much more deep thought.

Can you think of Film Remakes that were better than the original? I can only think of two:
Pocketful of Miracles - which was better than the original Lady For A Day
King Kong the 2005 version

1995? There was a 1995 version of King Kong? How did everyone miss that? Are you sure you didn't mean 2005? Now, if you'd mentioned the 1966 cartoon movie, there are a bunch of us who would happily argue for its inclusion as "one of the best."
