Ny System Hot Weiners and nowhere else. These are a RI tradition. Steamed bun, mystery meat hot dog, mustard spread on with a stick, raw onions, meat sauce and a dash of celery salt. MMM. They line them up on their arm tyo put them together. My mother would not order more than three at a time because she didn't want the food to get into the hairline of the guy's arm! NY System weiners are great with a glass of cold coffee milk! Best place for them: Olneyville Hot Weiners, Reservoir Ave, Cranston, RI or the original store in Onneyville Square, Providence, RI

My wonderful son, Eric, is now 18 and about to move away to college. He is now an "adult" and is now basically spending more time with friends than family. Last night I was wrapping presents for Hanukkah and placing them on the piano. Special wrap for Eric and different wrap for Wendy. When Eric saw the presents he magically turned back into a 10 year old boy. He got all excited and jumped up and down asking what was in the package. He started shaking them and started gussing like crazy. I liked seeing him young again. I wanted that feeling immediately so I grabbed a can of dog food and a box of pop tarts and wrapped them up as if by presents. I placed them on the pile and Eric got all excited again gussing and jumping up and down.
