9-25-05 Show Notes

Good to be back live. I really miss being here even for one week. It's a brisk fall day today and maybe I'll go apple picking this afternoon for some of Arlene's great Apple pie.

------------------------------------
QUESTION OF THE DAY

In the event of an evacuation, what four things would you take with you?

Photographs
loaded weapon, credit card, emergency food packs, water
weapons, cash, food, container to drink and boil water.
personal photos, certificates, etc scanned on hard drive., survival stuff.
knife, plastic bag, pan.

When you get right down to it, there really is nothing to bring but survival items like a milk jug, plastic bag, knife. As far as momentos and posessions, you have your memories.

-------------------------------------
Bruce talked about working on the cruise ships and when someone died on the cruise, the cruise lines had to bring the body back to the original port. They store the body in the ice cream locker on the ship. The waiter would say to us at dinner, " no ice cream tonight." we would say, "who died?!"

---------------
Eunice spoke of not bringing a weapon because she would not have it in her to kill anyone. She asked me to play the song that I played for her sister which was FOR GOOD from the musical Wicked.

---------------
John called to say that he finally purchased the Nancy LaMott album WHAT'S GOOD ABOUT GOODBYE from Amazon.com and LOVES it. Nancy LaMott albums are available at all record stores.
